First Im going to rub coarse salt on the inside and outside of the turkey. Then I slide it into a resealable plastic bag. Refrigerate for 3 days massage each day.On Thanksgiving day roast the turkey for 20 minutes per pound. Our turkey is 16 pounds so it takes 5 hours and 20 minutes. One of my side dishes is going to be cranberry sauce . Combine one bag of cranberries and 1 chopped granny smith apple and one cup of orange juice and 3 quarters of a cup of sugar and cayenne and a chopped lemon in a pot cook until it bubbles and cover and let it simmer for 20 minutes. The last dish will be brussels
sprouts. Cut them in half and toss in olive oil and salt tossed with chopped bacon and roast.

The first thing you need is a turkey. Some people get there turkey fresh and still alive. But me and my dad went to foodtown and bought a 16 pound turkey. My mom prepares the turkey with all kinds of seasonings. She then puts it in a pan and she puts it in the oven to cook about 3 hours and 30 minutes. Then take it out and let it rest. Then it is ready! yuuummmy.

I would cook a turkey. It would be covered with melted butter and sprinkled with rosemary. My side dishes would be cranberry sauce and fruit salad. To cook the turkey,I would first buy a 4 pound turkey. Next, I would stuff it with potatoes and kale. I would preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Then, when I put the turkey in the oven I would turn the temperture down to 350 degrees. I would cook it for 1 hour and 40 minutes. When I took the turkey out of the oven, I would cover it with melted butter and sprinkle it with rosemary. To make the cranberry sauce, I would put cranberries in boiling hot water and stir them. Then, I would add sugar. To make the fruit salad, I would cut up different fruits such as melon, strawberries, blueberries, mango and banannas. Then I would serve all that. If I had to choose one person to help me cook, it would be my grandma. I would choose her because she is a great and experienced cook. Have a happy Thanksgiving!

How to cook a Turkey?
Well that's easy. First you need to buy a turkey at any store that sells turkeys. In a small bowl I mix olive oil, black pepper, oregano, salt, garlic and orange juice. I put this all over the turkey. Then I put it in the refrigerator for one night. The next day I take it out of the refrigerator and put it in the 350 degree oven. I wait for 4 of 5 hours. Then I take it out of the oven and it's ready to eat. For my side dish I would make rice with salad, mashed potatoes and guacamole.Yum Yum!

Amin E. said...

It is easy. You have to go to any store and buy a turkey.

First step: Take it home and clean it.

Second step: Take it and put it in a dish.

Third step: Turn on the oven and put it on 500.

Fourth step: Put any flavor you want on to the turkey.

Fifth step: Put any thing around the turkey in the tray.

Sixth step: Put it in the oven for 3hours and a half to cook.

Seventh step: Take it out after 3hours and a 1/2 is over and enjoy.

For Thanksgiving dinner, I would prepare turkey, gravy, and mashed potatoes.
After I've bought the turkey, I would season it, with salt and pepper. Then, I would rub butter on the outside to make the skin crispy. I'd put in a roasting pan, which I'd then put in the oven to cook. I would set the oven for 400 degrees Fahrenheit, for 3 hours. When it's done, I'd put it out to cool. After the turkey comes out, take all the juices from the bottom of the pan, whisk in flour, then add some chicken stock. Then you mix all of that together over medium heat. Then put salt and pepper in the gravy, and you're done. To make mashed potatoes, you have to chop your raw potatoes into big chunks. Drop the potatoes into boiling water, and boil them for 7-10 minutes. Drain the potatoes, and add butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Then you mash it with your potato masher. My list of ingredients are: turkey, butter, milk, salt, pepper, potatoes, meat juice, and chicken stock. I would choose my grandmother to help me cook, because she is the best cook in my family.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, I know we did!! Every Thanksgiving my family deep fries a turkey. First, we put the oil into the deep fryer and let it get really hot, then we put the turkey in the fryer. We leave the turkey in the fryer for 3 minutes for each pound. Our turkey was about 11 pounds, so we left it in for 33 minutes. Once it was done the turkey was golden brown and crispy. Then, my Dad craved the turkey. We had dressing, mac and cheese, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, pecan pie and red velvet cheesecake!!! It was so yummy! Now I can't wait til Christmas so we can do it again but in North Carolina with my Grandparents!

Then you would tie the legs together and put it in the oven at 325 degrees for 3 hours. For the side dishes I would have corn and cranberry sauce. How to cook/roast a simple turkey:

I am going to cook/roast a turkey. It is plain and simple. My side dishes are mashed potatoes and sautéed green beans and mushrooms. For the turkey you will need one turkey, any size, 2 cups of broth or water, and melted unsalted butter (Which is optional, for basting) a roasting pan, a roasting rack, a turkey baster or spoon. For the mashed potatoes you will need 2 pounds of russet potatoes, kosher salt, 1/2 to 1 stick unsalted butter at room temperature,1 cup whole milk, warmed, and freshly ground pepper. For the sautéed green beans and mushrooms you will need blanch green beans, sauté sliced mushrooms, salt and pepper, and French fried onions. Step 1 for turkey: Take out turkey from fridge. Set the turkey breast side up on the roasting rack and let it sit. Step 2: Heat the oven to 450 degrees F. Position an oven rack in the third of your oven. Step 3: Pour 2 cups of broth or water into the roasting pan. Place the turkey in the oven and turn down the heat to 350 degrees F. step 4:The rule of the thumb for cooking a turkey is 13 minutes per pound. So our 16pound turkey should have taken about 3 ½ hours to cook. Step 5: Every 45 minutes, remove the turkey from the oven door(don’t let the heat out), and baste the turkey all over. Step 6: To make sure that the turkey is fully cooked through and through, we have to check its temperature in thee places: the breast, the outer thigh, and the inside thigh. Step 7: grab one side of the roasting rack with an oven mitt and tilt the turkey so the liquids inside the cavity run out into the pan. The, lift the whole and transfer it to a cutting board. Tent the turkey with aluminum foil and let it rest for at least 30 minutes. Step 8: Carve the turkey the way you would carve a chicken. Remove the turkey wings first, then the thighs, then the turkey breast. Once you have the meat off, you can separate the thighs into thighs and drumsticks and carve the breast meat into individual slices. Step 1 for mashed potatoes: Put the potatoes in a large saucepan and add enough cold water to cover. Season with salt and bring to a simmer; cook, uncovered, until the potatoes are fork tender, about 45 minutes. Step 2: Drain the potatoes. Hold with an oven mitt or kitchen towel and peel off the skins, then transfer the potatoes to a bowl. Step 3: Add the butter and warm milk to the bowl and mash with a potato masher or fork(or pass the potatoes through a ricer or food mill for a smoother mash).Season with salt and pepper. Step 4: Plan on 1/3 to ½ pound potatoes per person for your feast. Step 1 for beans and shrooms: Put the blanch green beans in boiling water until just cooked. Then put the sauté sliced mushrooms in butter over medium high heat until golden, then toss with the drained, blanched beans and some salt and pepper. Then top it with French fried onions. If I could have help cooking from one person it would be my dad because he is a chef and he knows a lot on cooking.

In my house we really don't eat turkey for Thanksgiving, but if i made one this is how i would do it.

First,I would season the outside of the turkey with parsley, red pepper, abobo, salt, garlic and sazon. Sazon is a spanish seasoning that has a salty flavor. Then i would season the inside of the turkey with the same ingredients. After I season it I would put the turkey in the fridge for 2 days to let the seasoning soak in. Then take it out and bake the turkey for 3 to 5 hrs, sometimes longer if it's a really big turkey! When its done let it cool then slice it up and enjoy! That would be my perfect Thanksgiving turkey.

First I have to buy a turkey. Then I wash the turkey. After washing the turkey I have to dry it and put salt, pepper, and seasonings on the turkey. Then I put the turkey in the refrigrator for the night. The next day I add to the inside of the turkey vegetables and I would put the turkey in the oven for 350 degrees for about 4 or 4 and a half hours. While baking the turkey I pour orange juice on the turkey a few times. When the turkey is ready I take it out of the oven and I could eat it. On my side of the dish I would have mashed potatoes. First you get a turkey. After you get your turkey get sazon , oregano, onion, and garlic. After you have all of that , you cut the garlic into small pieces.put the turkey in to a pot. rub that sazon mixture on your turkey, then you spread the onions in your pot. do the same with your oregano.
stuffing

when you are done seasoning your turkey, you make your stuffing. After you made stuffing then you take your turkey and where that hole is you stuff your stuffing.
cooking

you pre heat your oven to 350 and then put your turkey in the oven. then leave it in there for about 3 hours. after it is all cooked you just cut and serve.

The ingredients I would use would be potatoes, oil, butter, green beans and garlic. The first thing I would do would be to cover the turkey in oil and then I would put the turkey in the oven. While it's cooking I would put the potatoes and beans on the stove to cook. When the green beans are on the stove I'd put garlic on them and stir it around. Once I take the potatoes off I would pour butter over them and then mash it altogether. If I could have one person to help me it would be my uncle because he always cooks the turkey for thanksgiving so he has experience.

1. Prepare the Turkey for Roasting - About an hour before roasting, take the turkey out of the fridge. Remove any packaging and the bag of giblets (check in the body cavity and in the neck cavity). Set the turkey breast-side up on the roasting rack and let it sit. This takes the chill off the meat, which helps the meat cook faster and more evenly, and it dries out the skin, which promotes browning and crisping.

2. Heat the Oven to 450°F - Position an oven rack in the bottom third of your oven. If you brined your turkey, as we did, no need to do anything now. If your turkey is straight out of the package, rub it with some salt and pepper before putting it in the oven. We recommend leaving your turkey un-stuffed and un-trussed, both because it's easier and because the turkey will cook more evenly.
3. Roast the Turkey - Pour two cups of broth or water into the roasting pan. Place the turkey in the oven and turn down the heat to 350°F. We're going for a breast-side up approach here. Some recipes advocate starting the turkey breast-side down to shield the breast meat, but the idea of flipping a hot, sputtering turkey is not our idea of a good time. Instead, we like to shield the breast meat with foil toward the end of cooking if it starts getting too browned.

4. Cooking Time - The rule of thumb for cooking a turkey is 13 minutes per pound. So our 16-pound turkey should have taken about 3 1/2 hours to cook. However, some factors like brining the bird, cooking with an empty (un-stuffed) cavity, and leaving the legs un-trussed will contribute to much faster cooking. Plan on the 13-minute-per-pound rule, but start checking the temperature of your turkey about halfway through the scheduled cooking time to gauge how fast it's cooking.

5. Baste the Turkey - Every 45 minutes, remove the turkey from the oven, close the oven door (don't let that heat out!), and baste the turkey all over. To baste, tilt the pan and use a turkey baster or spoon to scoop up the liquids and drizzle them on top of the turkey. Basting with pan juices cools the surface of the turkey and slows down cooking, which in turn keeps the breast meat cooking at close to the same rate as the legs and thighs.5. Check the Temperature - To make sure that turkey is fully cooked through and through, we like to check its temperature in three places: the breast, the outer thigh, and the inside thigh (see photos above). In every case, the meat should be at least 165°F. If any place is under that temperature, put the turkey back in the oven for another 20 minutes. Shield the breast meat with foil if needed to keep it from overcooking.

6. Rest the Turkey - Grab one side of the roasting rack with an oven mitt and tilt the turkey so liquids inside the cavity run out into the pan. (These juices are used to make the gravy.)

Then, lift the whole turkey (still on the rack) and transfer it to a cutting board. Tent the turkey with aluminum foil and let it rest for at least 30 minutes. This gives time for the meat to firm up and the juices to be re-absorbed into the muscle tissue, making the turkey easier to slice and taste juicier.

7. Carve the Turkey - Carve the turkey the same way you would carve a chicken (click that link to see a video of the entire process of carving a chicken): Remove the wings first, then the thighs, then the breast meat. Once you have the meat off, you can separate the thighs into thighs and drumsticks and carve the breast meat into individual slices.

That's all there is to it! Roasting a turkey is really just like roasting a large chicken. The same methods and ideas apply. Even if you don't get fancy with spices or special basting liquids, your turkey will still turn out browned, moist, and flavorful.

2.Heat the oven to 450 degrees F- position an oven rack in the bottom third of your oven
3.Roast the turkey-Pour two cups of broth or water into the roasting pan. Place the turkey in the oven and turn down thge heat to 350 degrees F.
4.Cooking time-The rule of thumb for cooking a turkey is 13 minutes per pound. So our 16-pound turkey should have taken 3.5 hours to cook.

Thanksgiving is a fun holiday. One of the best parts of Thanksgiving is cooking the turkey. I know three ways to cook a turkey. The first way is the traditional way. You have to cook the turkey for about 5 hours if there is stuffing. The second way is to deep fry the turkey. You have to deep fry it in grease for about 45 minutes. The third way is to barbeque the turkey. You have to barbeque it until it gets to a nice and smoky brown.

The side dishes I would do are brussels sprouts, macaroni & cheese an garlic bread. To cook the brussels sprouts my dad uses a special almond recipe. To make the garlic bread my aunt uses pita bread. If I could choose anyone to help me make the meal I would pick my Aunt Beatrice or my dad, because they are both excellent cooks.

If I were to cook a Thanksgiving meal I would make a roasted turkey, fluffy mashed potatoes, and mashed carrots and parsnips.
To make this meal I would use …

carrots
parsnips
potatoes
butter
milk
turkey
salt
pepper
herbs
and breadcrumbs
For the turkey, first I would rub salt, pepper, a tiny bit of butter, and herbs into the skin. Next, I would I would make sure the oven isn’t to hot [or else I the turkey will dry out] and put the turkey in. When when my turkey was finished I would add herbs and breadcrumbs. Then my turkey would be done. Moving on to potatoes, I would boil the potatoes until thoroughly cooked. Then, I would skin, them add milk and butter, and then mash them. And, last but not least, I would make the mashed carrots and parsnips. First I would skin them, then I would cut them into somewhat large pieces. After, I would add them to a pot of water and boil them until soft. Finally, I would mash them up with a some butter and be done.
If I could have help from one person I would pick my mom. I would pick her because she is really good at making mashed potatoes and carrots. She would also make sure I don’t do anything wrong or get hurt.

This is how I would cook my turkey. I would soak it in a solution of salt water and other flavorings. Then I would stuff it. I would use bread crumbs, butter and other delicious stuff. I would then roast it in the oven.

My side dishes would be gravy, mashed potatoes and stuffing. I already told you how to make the stuffing, so I'll start with the mashed potatoes. I would boil them in water, then mash them and, finally add butter. For the gravy I would tip the pan to the side and put it in a bowl. This is how I would make my turkey and side dishes.

My thanksgiving dinner would be a nice, plump, juicy turkey with salad and some polish tradition food, (im polish)potato perogis! To make the perogis, you have to make the dough.it has eggs, butter, and other products that i am not familliar with.then, you have to make the mashed potatoes- witch is the easy part. you clean and peal the potatoes, then mash them in a bowl. then you cut out circles out of of the dough, and put the potatoes in the middle of the dough. you are only supposed to put a little potatoes because then you can't close them. then you gently fold them in half, there edges meeting equally, then take your finger and lightly push down on the edges and then boil them. then, you fry them. and that is how you make a very delicious polish food.

If I had to cook a Thanksgiving meal I would cook a turkey, mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese. For the turkey the ingredients are a turkey, and an oven. For mashed potatoes you need potatoes, a potato masher, water, a strainer, salt and butter. For the macaroni & cheese you need macaroni, cheese sauce, a stove, water and a pot. To cook the turkey you put it in the oven and test it after a few hours and if it's not ready put it back in but if it is ready take it out. To cook the mashed potatoes you boil potatoes in water, strain them, mash them and add salt and butter. To cook the mac & cheese you boil the macaroni in water on the stove in a pot, then add cheese sauce. If I could choose anyone to help me cook, I would choose my downstairs neighbor, Ruby because she is my friend and she's not a vegetarian. Happy Thanksgiving!

How to cook a turkey...
There are many ways to cook a turkey: you can cook it in the oven, you can smoke it, or as said in the New York Times, you can steam it.
My family specifically cooked the turkey differently, we cooked the bird deep fried.
How to deep fry a turkey:
First we got a pot, next we put oil in the pot, then we boiled the oil by burning fire under the pot, next we put the bird in the boiling oil, next we left the turkey cooking in the oil for 30 minutes, when the turkey is done boiling in the oil we take the turkey out by putting a hook on a wooden plank and take the turkey out by sticking the hook into the turkeys meat, last but not least we stuff the turkey in our body’s.
WARNING, we do have a little cabin in the woods at Connecticut so we did do this process outside because boiling oil is very dangerous.

My main course would be a roast chicken because I don't like turkey!! One of my side dishes would be mashed potatoes and the last side dish would be my Babci's famous meatloaf. My Babci would help me because she is an experienced cook and she cooks meals for my family all the time and everyone loves her cooking!

I would roast the chicken in the oven until it's skin is crisp and has a brown color to it. I would stuff the chicken with all kinds of different spices and with different vegetables.
My mashed potatoes would be made with a reasonable amount of butter so they won't be too salty and to make them extra creamy we will put in some milk. We will use a blender to blend the mashed potatoes into mashed potatoes.
My Babci's meatloaf will have turkey meat, onions, celery, a little garlic and parsley. We mix all of this together then we set the mixture into individual little bricks, then into the oven they go!!
And there you have it, my Thanksgiving feast!!

We eat turkey, mashed potatos and gravy, stuffing, apple sauce, casseroles, and corn. For dessert we have Rice Crispe treats, pies, pumpkin rolls, and chocoate cheese cake.

To make the turkey who have to thaw the turkey, brine the turkey, roast the turkey, check the temperature of the turkey, rest the turkey, carve the turkey and finally eat the turkey!

If one person could help me make the turkey it would be my dad because he is a grown man, he's made a turkey before, and he is a pretty good cook!

For my Thanksgiving dinner , we make a Thanksgiving turkey, fried veggies and cranberry sauce. You need a nice, big turkey, some vegetables such as carrots and brussels sprouts, and a can of cranberry sauce. Now, roast the turkey and fry the veggies. Fry the vegetables in cooking oil. We don't usually do anything with the cranberry sauce. Just cut it up and set it on a plate. When the turkey and veggies are ready, separate the the turkey into dark and light meat. Then serve yourself and eat! Happy Thanksgiving!

To make a sweet potato you put it in the oven for about an hour and then you take it out.

To make a piece of corn you shuck an ear of corn and put it in boiling water for about six minutes.

You take it out and enjoy your dishes.

How to cook a turkey.

Step 1: Suply your turkey.

Step 2: Get two cups of broth water

Step 3: Get your tools

Step 4: Unfreeze your turkey, so that it's moust and dry, so that it's easier to cook.

Step 5: Heat your turkey in the oven to about 450F for about 13 min. Per pound. And for more flavor, rub salt and pepper with butter and maybe some garlic.

Step 6: Pour some broth or water into the oven, and lower the heat to 350F because you don't want ash as your turkey.

Step 7: Every 45 min remove your turkey and baste it. To baste your turkey, use a turkey baster or spoon, tilt the pan and pour the liquid in the pan onto your turkey.

Step 8: Check your turkey's temperature, you want the meat to be at least 165F, of any lower, but back in the oven for a nother 20 min.

Step 9: Carve your turkey, the same way you would carve a chicken, if you don't know how to do that
You can look it up online

Step 10: Eat !!!!!!

Other Good foods that go with Thanksgiving are mashed patao's and ham.you may go online, look in a cook book, or find out how to make them in other blogs.

If I were to make a Thanksgiving dinner, I would have turkey as the main course, with mashed potatoes and green beans as the sides. To make this meal, you will need: a turkey, potatoes, milk, butter, green beans, and spices.
To cook the turkey, here's what I would do:
1. I would first preheat the oven to about 350 degrees F.
2. I'd rise the turkey, and then pat it dry with paper towels. I would rub the skin with softened butter, and season it with the spices.
3. I'd put the turkey in the oven, and let it cook for about 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
4. I would separate the skin into light and dark meat, and put it on a tray.
Making potatoes is also simple:
1. I would peel the potatoes. I would put them in a pot, and boil it.
2. While I'm boiling, I would add milk and soft butter, and squash the ingredients together until mashed thoroughly.
3. I would take the pan off the stove, and set it out along with the turkey.
Now for the green beans:
1. I would snap the ends off of the green beans and place them in a bowl.
2. I'd melt 2 tbsp. of butter by putting it in a skillet over medium heat. I'd then add the beans to the skillet.
3. I would mix it around until it looks good. Then, I would put the green beans in a bowl, add some spices, and swish it around again. Finally, I'd put out the green beans with the rest of the feast, and ENJOY.
So, that's my meal. If I had just one person to help me with this, it would be Mom, because she's someone who I can rely on, and she particularly loves this meal, so she would be glad to help.
I hope you enjoyed what I wrote. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

First we rolled out the dough by cranking a pasta maker. It took us about 30 minutes to roll out all the dough into thin sheets. Then we cut it into smaller pieces--about 3 inch squares. Add filling, put water on the perimeter of the square, not too much, fold it and make sure it is sealed. put water in a pot to boil. Place ravioli in the boiling water. Cook for 2 minutes, and eat!

ingredients
pie:
1.5 cups flour
.5 tea salt
.5 cups shortening
3 tablespoons icecold water
4 cups slice apples
1 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla
.5 teaspoon cinnamon
1.5 tablespoons instant tapioca
pinch salt
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
m and c:
1 pound pasta, any shape
1 1/2 cups whole or 2% milk
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2-3 cups shredded cheese, like cheddar, monterey jack, or colby
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon powdered mustard
(cook before adding): Ham, bacon, onions, peas, mushrooms, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower
turkey:
1 turkey, any size
2 cups broth or water
how to make turkey:
place the turkey in a cold water bath and change the water every 30 minutes until it's thawed

Basting with pan juices cools the surface of the turkey and slows down cooking, which in turn keeps the breast meat cooking at close to the same rate as the legs and thighs.

Optional Extra - In the last 45 minutes or so of cooking, baste the turkey with melted butter or oil. This helps crisp up the skin and turn it a beautiful deep golden brown.

7. Carve the Turkey

How I would cook my Thanksgiving meal

Ingredients for my Thenksgiving Meal
Turkey
Salt
Pepper
Butter
Macaroni
Cheese
Bread
Seasonings

First I would buy the turkey. Then I would poke a hole in it. I would then insert salt and pepper into that hole and smear butter on the outside. Then I would put it in the oven for 3 to 4 hours.
For one side, I would make macaroni and cheese. I would boil water, put in the macaroni. Then, after it's cooked I would dump in the cheese.

For the other side I would make stuffing. First I would crumble up the bread and season it. Then I would cook it. That would be my Thanksgiving meal.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING(GOBBLE GOBBLE)!

The meal began with oysters, bread, cheese and pate. Then our my friend's mom served turkey, stuffing (vegetarian because my mom doesn't eat meat).
To cook the turkey, you put it in a pan and bake it for many, many hours. Sometimes you take it out and "baste" it, which means putting turkey juice on it.
The oysters came from Massachusetts. They were frozen and when they were ready to be served, my friend's mom took them out and cut the meat from the shell with a very sharp knife. Then people slurpped them up.
The bread, cheese ,and pate came from a store called Stinky. My mom sliced the bread and put it in a bowl. She pu the bowl next to the cheese plate. The person I would choose to help me cook Thanksgiving dinner would be my mom because she's a great cook.

If I had to make the thanksgiving and/or dinner I would make a turkey (of course), mashed potatoes, and my grampas jello salad.
To cook a turkey, all you need is a pan, a sink, a stove, and a turkey. First you wash the turkey. Then you put it in a pan breast side up. Bake the turkey at 350 degrees for 15 minutes per pound. Now you get to the boring part, waiting.
But I almost forgot that I could make the mash potatoes while the turkey’s cooking. To make mash potatoes you start by peeling potatoes (one per person) then putting them in a pot of boiling water untill they they are cooked all the way through. Then after the potatoes are done boiling por all the water out and take a masher and start mashing those potatoes! While you mashing you can add butter and sour cream and shreded cheese or what ever you like.!
The jello salad is a family recipe, and don’t think it’s gross untill you try it. For jello salad you need jello (lime is prefered), cottoge cheese, sour cream, and pineapple chunks’. First you put the jello mix and then mix the mix with water and the cottage cheese, the sour cream and the pineapple and put it in the refrigerator to cool for about 1 hour. That would be my Thanksgiving meal.
